Pizzolo ShieldBy Joseph Pizzolo.

Paul was a high achiever in both academics and sport. Educated at Haileybury College, he obtained a VCE TER score of 95.1%. This allowed him entry into the University of Melbourne where he was studying for his Bachelor of Commerce Degree.

In October 2001 at the age of 20 Paul was diagnosed with Bi-Polar (formerly known as Manic Depressive Disorder). Although he was hospitalised on a number of occasions; over the next three years Paul continued his studies at Melbourne University.

At the time of his death he had only four subjects to complete, to obtain his degree.

Pizzolo Crest For every suicide there are those left behind. For every suicide hundreds of people are affected. If we assume 200 people are affected by suicide per death and times that by the 2101 (misprinted by the Hearald-Sun) 420,000 people were touched by the loss of suicide victims in 2005.

This number of people would fill the MCG to capacity approximately four times!

The responsibility rests with US as a community including Local councils, State & Federal Governments.

IT'S OUR PROBLEM-LET'S FIX IT.

All 1sts players since Haileybury’s earliest entry into APS competition in 1959 have been allocated a unique number reflecting their place in the sport. Each new player is encouraged to respect his integral part in our rich and successful tennis tradition. Current players wear their number above the logo on their warm-up vests. (179.Paul Pizzolo)
