Mum

The journey of my mum
Stated on 30th of July,
And finished on Tuesday
On that day I said goodbye

But her journey is only starting,
And we celebrate this fact today,
It's the beach that she loved
Where she will delicately lay.

Mum was always on my mind,
And will continuously till I die
Great memories to behold
An angel in the sky.

This year has been eventful
For three months in hospitals I lay
Mum cared when I needed,
Her love showed every day.

Despite her health not prevailing
She was generous in every way.
Her friends, family and students
Will see you by the bay

Mum taught to think of others
Which is a facet we all can improve
Luck fortunes those that give
Eventually you never lose.

This is another test
In my life I must confront.
Thankfully I had mum
Keeping me ahead of the hunt.

The hunt is our happiness
Which my mum surely provided
We are all blessed to know her
Bringing love which we're delighted

I miss and love you mum Paul.
